No one ever comes to me and says how much they love having their photo taken! In fact most of us ( myself included) either tolerate it or down right hate it. So often couples have a pre-wedding shoot so they can get used to being in front of the camera or get a better feel for how they will work with their photographer. All great reasons of course but I love that Emily and Alan wanted some photographs for their save the dates but also that they wanted some nice ones together not dressed up in their finery like they will be at the wedding (which I must admit I am really looking forward to now!)
Emily and Alan were so much fun to work with, very relaxed and chatty and Emily’s laughter was totally infectious, I also love her mischievous side. She was determined to get Alan smiling and you have to admire that sort of determination!
We met at Hylands park and it was a bit of a drizzly day no real sun but that did not dampen spirits as we walked to different locations all over the park. West Ham fans they had shirts with their wedding date on them and even Alan’s Mum knitted them a scarf for the occasion ( bless her)!
As luck would have it we had a last kiss of sun just before it set and it just does not get any better than that! I am really looking forward to the wedding at the wonderful Friern Manor ( one of my favourite venues) next year .
I have shared a selection of images taken from the pre-wedding shoot, if you are interested in having a session or would like to find out more please get in touch.
