We had a lot of plans hinging on the weather for Katherine and Richards wedding, so it was not really a surprise that we had been forecasted for rain. It was quite a lucky break though that it stopped just before the ceremony and we even got a glimpse of sun before the guests were seated for the wedding breakfast.
I just love photographing weddings at Maidens barn the team there are always so welcoming and helpful to me and I see that as a good sign for the couples who choose to get married there, after all if they treat me a supplier so well it can only eat that their couples are treated as well if not better.
Katherine and her girls were very relaxed getting ready and mean the hairdresser worked her magic on all the girls in the bridal room while the rest of the girls conjugated in the long mirror of the loo for make-up. Richard and his family were only up the road in Great Dunmow getting ready before coming to the barn for the final preparations.
With simple elegant blue lace dresses the bridesmaids smiled their way down the isle warming up the guests before Katherine made her entrance. Gliding in Katherine beamed with happiness and was a pleasure to photograph.
We had a few group photos to capture but the guest were very cooperative, I think it was the cold if I am honest it always makes them move a little quicker and get closer to the people near them.
Guest were treated to a little magic from local magician Nick Crown and the wonderful James of Piano DJ was in fine form and had the dance floor full, as well as a little creative lighting with some uplighters.
I have shared just a few of the image we took of their day.
