Wedding day planning perfection for Emma & Mark

There is a lot of pressure to plan the perfect wedding day. The stress of finding the perfect venue, florist, photographer and even the right dress can be stressful. I must admit it was not quite as much fun as I thought when I planned my wedding day.

Emma and Mark had  a  very relaxed approach to planning their wedding and had planned the perfect small intimate wedding surrounded by close friends and family. Having met at Witham running club, Mark proved you really never know when you might ‘run’ into Mr.Right!

Emma and Mark picked the idyllic church for the ceremony. The beautiful all Saints is located along the river Chelmer in the countryside in Ulting.

Emma arrived in a VW beetle and was clearly keen by the fact that she arrived almost 15 minutes early, but Mark patiently waited and kept the guests entertained.

After the ceremony guests had prosecco in the church yard while enjoying the sun and taking some relaxed and informal photographs. There was a wonderful vintage bus that then transported guests to The Company Shed on Mersea Island. Mark and Emma had planned to have their first date here but were disappointed to find a private function so felt it was apt that this time they provided the private function. It is these little personal touches that I love about weddings.

With platters of seafood and plenty more prosecco the evening was enjoyed by all.  I have shared just a small selection of the images from Emma and Mark’s wedding day. The flowers were carefully crafted by my own favourite florist Caroline of The Orchidroom weddings.
