With only a fortnight to go before the wedding Paul reached out via a recommendation from a friend for me to photograph their wedding day. We met on the Wednesday and they were married on the Saturday and as I said to Paul that was the last-minute booking I have ever taken but certainly one of the most fun!
Having until earlier this year residing in Hong Kong Paul & Daniel uprooted their lives and moved to France where they now run a fantastic Hote de Chambre & Gite in what I can only describe as one of the most picturesque towns in France. After meeting both Paul and Daniel I can see why they were drawn to this life, both naturally friendly and hospitable people I am sure any guest feels incredibly taken care of in their establishment.
With another first for me groom Daniel, absolutely loves having his photo taken as well as taking photos and some pretty impressive ones too! With his own signature style of ‘exaggerate’ we had a lot of fun.
Despite the beauty of Holland park, the weather did not play its part in the festivities and it rained so while Daniel was keen to still have some fun and take some photos I could see that Paul was not, and without a decent umbrella I was not going to argue the points on this case.
Luckily the celebrations continued at a friend home and along with the wonderful smells emanating from the kitchen we were spoiled with some great window light and exquisite art as a backdrop for some group photos.
