When a couple book me to do an engagement shoot I always get a little excited because it is such a great chance to really get to know them but also is the perfect chance to practice on a time and location that does not hold the pressure of your wedding day. This is also probably one of the few times that you will get more relaxed photos of the two of you together in that magical time right before you get married.
When Lorna asked if it would be ok to bring their little dog too I knew this was going to be a great shoot.
We met at Shorne Country Park which despite the long-wet winter had dried out and started to turn green. After the initial excitement of coming out to the park our four-legged friend was willing to pose and play up for the camera.
With some beautiful sunshine and a great backdrop, we took a little walk around the park and took in some of the stunning scenery as well as some more fun shots with the dog.
Lorna and Jat are going to be using the photographs we took today in a slideshow that will be played during the wedding reception. I am very much looking forward to capturing Lorna & Jat’s day as it is my local venue but also the venue where I had my wedding reception so it is extra special to me.
With a beautiful June day Hylands House offers the stunning beauty of the formal gardens as well as the timeless elegance of the interior.
